And this retreat is a little extra special.
Elevate Retreats and Chrysalis Aerial Movement are coming together for a week of aerial, movement, adventure and vacation in Mexico, bringing the community that began at Flight Room into its next chapter.
Elevate founder and longtime Flight Room instructor Jen Russell will personally teach and lead the retreat. Chrysalis owner JoAnn Burrett will be there for the week, along with additional Chrysalis instructor(s) TBA.
No overthinking. No pressure. Just a really, really good experience.
What this actually is
This is not a super serious wellness retreat. And it’s not a packed, go-go-go vacation either. It’s the sweet spot.
You’ll fly, sweat a little, laugh a lot, and have plenty of time to relax, explore, and enjoy where you are. There will be aerial classes, complementary movement, plenty of opportunities to play, and a whole lot of time when absolutely nothing is required of you.
It’s equal parts movement, vacation, community and “Wow, I needed this.”
The setting 🌿🌊
Mixto Villa sits right between the jungle and the ocean, and it’s kind of unreal.
Open-air spaces, ocean views everywhere, lush greenery all around.
It feels a little tucked away, in the best way. Like you’ve found somewhere special. And with aerial silks overlooking the jungle and Pacific, it’s a pretty spectacular place to fly.
What your days will feel like
This retreat is designed to be easy.
There’s a loose rhythm to the day so you always know what’s happening, but nothing feels rigid or over planned.
There will be plenty of opportunities to take classes, try something new, and move together, balanced with plenty of time to actually enjoy being in Mexico.

Along Portugal’s southern coast, quiet fishing villages meet dramatic ocean views. Sunlight dances across turquoise water, and a walk along the cliffs can turn into an afternoon by the sea, followed by a long lunch with nowhere else you need to be.

Join Elevate Retreats and Chrysalis Aerial Movement for a week of aerial yoga, adventure and vacation in Portugal. Chrysalis Instructors Hannah will lead the retreat and teach beginner and advanced aerial yoga classes, and Ria will guide the afternoon Zen-inspired movement sessions. JoAnn, owner of Chrysalis, will be joining us for the week as well!
